Choosing a Blog Name? Are you confused about choosing the right name for your blog? Well basically there are three simple rule of thumb to follow  when choosing a blog name:

1) The “Name” must describe your blog: it is very possible that a lots of people will actually see a link to your blog  (via search engines, for instance), before having the chance to go through your blog. Guess what, if just by looking at the name they can figure what the blog is all about they will be more likely to visit the site. But if your name is something that doesn’t really make any ’sense’ to them or is not ‘interesting’ or ‘catchy’ enough then they will probably skip it.

2) Your Blog “Name” must be easy to remember: Suppose your blog is all about about cycling, fitness and health advice in general. Naming it “The Cycling, Fitness and General Health Advice Blog” would offer quite an exhaustive description of the blog, but would it also be easy to remember? Try to stick with simple names that people can easily remember.

3) Your Blog “Name” must be equal to your blog domain name: this rule is often ignored by many, probably because finding a suitable domain that has not been registered yet is quite a difficult task nowadays. Still if your domain name does not match the blog name then its possible that you will lose some readers along the way. When people visit your blog through a link on another website they will just read the name of the blog via the anchor text. And once they visit your website, the first thing that they are going to notice is your banner/header which should have your blog name. However if your domain is completely different than your blog name the user won’t be able to find you that easily from their browser history. (If they wish to visit you again in a later time).
